A record number of competitors took part in the 3rd of the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Series, the East Cowes Enema Duathlon. This was organised by Events Coordinator, Neil Cooper in conjunction with the BTF Go Tri Initiative, which allowed entry for junior competitors aged 15 and above.

Wight Tri member, Sean Williams took on the Rempstone Roast MTB off road triathlon, held near Corfe Castle, Swanage. It was a cold chilly start, for the 2.3 mile runs and 11.5 mile bike course,
31 members, including several new members took on the 2nd of the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Events in the Carisbrooke Duathlon, sponsored by Cut Laser Cut.
Starting at the castle, the run took the competitors on a hilly 2.5km lap around the castle, with the choice of 1 or 2 laps.
Wight Tri held the first of the Winter Duathlon Series events, the Colwell Caulker. This year the events are being supported and sponsored by Cut Laser Cut, providing all competitors with an engraved memento, depicting the individually events, as well as a trophy for the winner of the nominated timed
