Chillerton Crucifier Duathlon

Last Sunday (28.01.2018) 16 members of Wight Tri took part in the Strawberry Pain duathlon, a nominated time event. A choice of a 3.5 or 2.5 mile run in muddy conditions over Mottistone Down was followed by a 13 mile cycle loop through Calbourne and Afton and returning via the

18 members took part in the 3rd in the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Series. Starting from the East Cowes seafront, and with the choice of a 2.2 or or 4.2 km run and either 1, 2, or 3 laps of a 10km undulating cycle route to the
15 members braved the cold weather to take part in the Colwell Duathlon, the second of the Wight Tri Winter Duathlon Series events. Starting from Colwell Bay, the competitors had a choice of a 2.2km or 4km run either side of a 16km or 26km cycle.

We run a winter series of duathlons – run/bike/run races.
Events around the Island between October and April. The normal format is a run (sometimes road, sometimes off-road) of between 3km and 6km followed by a bike (always road) of between 12km and 30km and then a run again.
All routes are signposted and
Sunday 30th October will see the first event of the new duathlon season. The Ballbuster!
The race HQ and transition area is the Viewpoint Car Park, Blackgang.
Registration from 9-15 am onwards.
Race briefing will be at 9-45 am, and the race will start at 10-00am.
The run course is off-road, out and back
